Looking For Band Mates

Meets

Barboursville WV

Description

Well, I just got my COVID-19 vaccination so I am ready to re-start a band, the last one dying a year ago in throbbing convulsions of COVID fears and family relocations. I have played guitar in bands in the past but for the last couple of years I have only played keyboard (self-taught). Unlike many trained pianists who only utilize a piano voice (boring), I will play anything that enhances the tune, including synth, strings, organ, and I even play banjo on “Wagon Wheel”. I would rate my musical skills moderate at best, but I am a great team player. I will play anything that I am capable of playing but, having said that, my past bands have played Pop, Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Grunge, Punk and a little country. All my previous bands have had female vocalists and I would certainly like that going forward, but beggars cannot be choosers. I have professional equipment including a large PA with mics, mixing board, amp, speakers, sub-woofer and monitors. I have a large, empty, and comfortable garage apartment with full kitchen about 5 miles from the Huntington Mall in Barboursville, detached from my home, that I have used for our practice location in the past. No drugs and I hate drama, so, if your ego does not fit inside a breadbox, pass this by. I just want to make music with other likeminded musicians for the pure enjoyment of the music itself. Playing out is OK but it is low on my priority list, somewhere just above doing my laundry. If you must play out to put food on the table, skip to the next ad. I am retired and can practice any day of the week. If any of this interests you, please respond by email and we can meet up and take it from there. -Larry
