I really have to laugh every time I watch or hear one of your republican congressmen or senators refer to how Biden TALKS a great game about unity between the parties but in practice does not really CARE about unity, especially now referring to the latest stimulus bill. I will give you some facts that Donnie and Lindsey Graham and most of the rest of your GOP ilk would probably call fake new. When Obama was elected in 2008, the very first words out of Mitch’s mouth was that the GOP’s number one task was to make sure he was a one term president. For the next 13 years with him in control of the senate, the GOP has used every means at their disposal to block any meaningful legislation put forward by democrats. He has sat on many bills given to the senate by the house and let them die a slow death without letting them be voted on. Thus limiting Obama’s ability to get much done. Obstructionism on a massive scale. It came to a head when Mitch and company blocked Merrick Garland’s nomination to SCOTUS with a year to go in Obama’s presidency and yet they pushed though Amy Barrett with just a month or so left of Trump’s term which was an all-time record for speed in pushing through a Scotus nomination. Then they have the balls to talk about being worried that the democrats will try to pack the court. But okay, let’s talk about this stimulus bill that Joe just signed and that NOT ONE SINGLE REPUBLICAN SENATOR OR CONGRESSMAN approved. I guarantee that if you could ask any one of those people if they even WANT this bill to succeed in healing the country, they would lie to you and tell you that…sure they do. Why then did they vote against it? Again, talk about massive obstructionism. The fact is…none of them really WANT this bill to do what Biden and the democrats are hoping it does. They know that without a doubt, if what Joe is trying to do succeeds and this bill starts to bring the country back to some semblance of normalcy within the next 18-24 months, despite their adamant refusal to back it, the Republican Party, or offshoot splinters of it, could be relegated starting with the mid-terms next year, to a minor footnote in governing this country for the next 2-3 decades. So OF COURSE they want it to fail. They absolutely DO NOT CARE ONE IOTA about what happens to the people in this country. They care about one thing only....staying in power.
