The 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony takes place Sunday to honor the best in recorded sound and will be like no other in the show's 63-year history. Since its inception in 1959, this is the first time the annual event, presented by the Recording Academy, will be held in a quarantine-friendly and partly virtual format at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles. Still, with comedian Trevor Noah doing the hosting duty and artists including Cardi B, BTS and Camila Cabello performing, the musical extravaganza is sure to be a night to remember. This year, 24-Grammy winner Beyoncé leads the pack of contenders with nine nominations, including nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for "Black Parade." Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Ricch are the second most nominated artists with six nods each, while Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, David Frost, Justin Bieber, DaBaby and John Beasley follow closely behind with four nominations each. Who will prevail? We'll soon find out. In the meantime, here's everything you need to know about the music industry's biggest night of the year.
