Description
Join us in the Fair Fight for Justice! An empowering experience for the whole family, bringing HOPE to those detained inside EBRPP
89% of the men and women, mothers, sons, brothers, neighbors are being detained in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, who have been convicted of nothing, and cannot pay bail. Baton Rouge is one of the few jails still operating at full capacity under inhumane, dangerous, deplorable conditions, in addition to the pandemic. 44 Negligent Deaths is enough!
What kind of Community do we want to be, Baton Rouge?
Please join us @ 10am at the corner of Emile and Badley Road under the Airport exit overpass near the jail. Decorate your car, supplies will be available, though we encourage everyone to bring your own message. Say their name, shout it out!
11am-Caravan takes off! We will caravan around the Juvenile Detention Center, and twice around the jail, stopping to shout out some love and hope to those trapped inside.
Research shows crime is not increasing. Why aren't we doing something to shed this #3 city in the world title, per capita, for mass incarceration? Spend two of the most empowering hours you'll never forget, with us! We can do better, Baton Rouge!
