Come and join Open Space staff on the Coal Creek Golf Course to watch for bats and listen to these calls with an echo-locator! Bats see with their ears! Did you know that bats send out 30-60 calls per second? These sounds bounce back to their large ears to let them know where there are objects or close to prey. Come and join Open Space staff on the Coal Creek Golf Course to watch for bats and listen to these calls with an echo-locator! Participants will also learn about bats and how they have inspired science. Space is limited so please register to attend. All participants will be required to maintain a 6-foot distance with anyone not in their household and wear a cloth face covering. Please stay home if you are sick.
