Traveling Handyman Needed The candidate is responsible for driving sales with clients and completing work alone and in an individual. Under general direction of the Vice-President of Operations, the candidate is responsible for the completion of work orders, estimate/proposal writing, and managing service technicians. He or she is also responsible for training, hiring, firing service technicians. The working area manager performs annual evaluations for service technicians. Reviews supply levels, documents items needed on a monthly basis, and orders supplies per par levels established. Performs management duties such as hiring, disciplinary actions, incidents reports, and payroll. Ensures work completion and customer satisfaction are always met. Technical and supervisory responsibilities: 1. Completion of work orders alone or in a team setting. 2. Create estimates and proposals 3. Oversee, direct and coordinate the work of designated staff. 4. Make independent decisions. 5. Select, supervise, train and evaluate designated staff. 6. Trains staff on building management systems, work order programs, departmental software and other miscellaneous systems. Qualifications: ¬ Ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of job. ¬ Must pass the background check performed by ERN Services Inc. ¬ Ability to lift over 50 pounds consistently ¬ Commercial/institutional experience in building maintenance functions that may include working experience. ¬ Proven experience in a leadership/management level position. ¬ Good communication skills, both written and verbal. ¬ Have reliable form of communication (Cell Phone). ** Having a personal truck or work van to perform job duties with insurance and current registration. ** Required to own personal tools to perform various scopes of trade work such as general handyman work.
