Designer Becky Hollands debuts 100% sustainable collection inspired by the mission of restoring lives through overcoming homelessness. The Women’s Auxiliary of The Salvation Army Galveston County is excited to announce that Houston-based fashion designer, Becky Hollands is sharing her time and talent to produce a style show full of glitz and glamour with her original creations. The 2021 Style Show is scheduled for August 6, 2021 at the Galveston Conference Center on Seawall Blvd. The Becky Hollands Brand is a celebration of the individualistic woman who is confident, artistic and the ultimate “Modern Sophisticate.” Becky Hollands is the Houston-based designer and founder of exclusive luxury-lifestyle brand BECKY HOLLANDS. In partnership with The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Designer Hollands will debut an entire collection that focuses on thoughtful luxury and sustainable style. Hollands’ collection “Rediscover” mirrors the theme of the event, “Through the Looking Glass- Reflecting on Service to Others” and will mark the brand’s inaugural debut of a 100% sustainable collection specifically for The Salvation Army Auxiliary Luncheon. Inspired by the mission of restoring lives through overcoming homelessness, Hollands’ creations will reflect this journey and focus on restoring donated pieces many may have “given up on” by giving “hope” and “new life” by redesigning, recycling, and recreating donated pieces into a new brand-new collection. Hollands will explore the process of rediscovery, in the journey of life as well as the design process of this particular collection which focuses on the vision of hope. Through giving new life, value, and hope to these new creations, this collection will show how these second-hand pieces are restored to their fullest potential. The focus in the spirit of hope is reflected in these one-of-a-kind creations through taking joy back into rediscovered designs just as the mission of the Salvation Army in helping those in our community take joy back into their journey of their walk of recovery. All Style Show attendees will have a sneak peek of Hollands’ new designs from her next collection as well as the opportunity to bid on three select designs that will be on live auction from the runway during the annual luncheon in raising funds for the mission. The entire collection will be available for purchase with 100% of proceeds going to The Salvation Army of Galveston County.
