Hiring head of maintenance, property manager/caretaker for a family run hotel in Manchester, VT. Well paid, full time position for experienced person well rounded in: carpentry, plumbing, heating, cooling lawn care, pools, roofing, masonry engine repair mechanics. Character counts and this candidate must be honest, reliable and a good team player. Responsibilities include: Various daily, monthly, seasonal, annual routine preventative maintenance like: Looking in basements and equipment to be sure all is running well, cleaning chimneys and dryer vents, setting up the pool and maintaining the pool daily, checking machines are working well- leaf blower, lawn mowers, trucks, chainsaws. Putting up and taking down the awnings, tent, pool furniture, glass tables, storm windows. Handling tree work after storms, window AC installation and removal, fixing masonry in walk ways and walls and buildings. Attending to guests needs when emergencies and routine problems occur: hot water issues, heat issues, clogged toilets. In off season this person is in charge of construction and improvement projects: You are responsible for managing the team under you and seeing that they are accomplishing their goals and expectations with projects. We seek a responsible, organized. self motivated leader who is fiscally responsible with projects and a good communicator with our family management team. This may be live in position. We offer job security and a partnership. The weekly salary starts at $1000/week plus a bonus based on successfully improving the facility and showing effort and care. The property consists of 2 historic mansions, 6 villas, 1 staff carriage houses, plus the family homes. This a great opportunity for someone who likes to be challenged and feel proud of their work.
