We have an opening for a Part-Time Seasonal Landscape Gardener. Our season begins as soon as the weather allows; usually around April 15th. Garden Therapy is an 11 year old company that maintains perennial gardens throughout Chittenden County. We are currently 2 full-time staff with additional part time help brought in as needed. The gardens range from small private perennial gardens to large private estates containing annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. We take pride in our attention to detail, our ability to provide excellent customer service, and our dedication to each and every client. We love what we do and want you to too. This position will include, at a minimum, the following duties: Spring/fall Cleanup, edging, mulching, deadheading, weeding, pruning, planting, dividing and garden installation and overhauls. Also involved, moving plant material and repetition of certain tasks, like weeding. No mowing. Requirements: Are you self-motivated, trustworthy and responsible? Do you take pride in your work and enjoy working independently as well as with others? Do you enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine, as well as manual work? We need someone in good physical shape that can work efficiently and is able to lift and carry 50+ pounds. You must be a non-smoker, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Plant knowledge and plant care experience, including pruning, is desired. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and a love of plants are a must. A degree in Horticulture, or landscape/gardening experience is a plus. Hourly rate is negotiable and will also depend on experience and abilities.
