CANTON, MA — The Town of Canton has finished vaccinating residents of its housing authority and homebound seniors, said the fire department in a Twitter post Wednesday evening.
The vaccination effort is part of steps one and two of Phase 2 of the state's COVID-19 vaccine rollout, which includes residents age 65 and older and those with two or more underlying medical conditions.
"Another successful vaccination day in Canton," said the post. "Canton Housing Authority and homebound residents done! Great effort by Board of Health, CFD, CPD and Council on Aging."
The town's next step in its vaccination efforts will be to vaccinate teachers, child care workers, and school staff, who became eligible on Thursday, March 11.
