Tennis Court Maintenance Attendant The Oak Bridge Club at The Yards - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082 $10 - $12+ an hour – Part-time (20-24hrs a week) The Oak Bridge Tennis Center at The Yards is a member only, private tennis facility, located inside the gates of TPC Sawgrass. We offer our members the experience of high quality, well-maintained and groomed tennis courts, daily. We are looking for an energetic staff member to join our team. SUMMARY: The Tennis Court Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and preparation of our tennis courts and/or surrounding tennis landscape for the days tennis activities. The Ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule & have previous court maintenance experience, if no experience we are willing to train. This position requires you to work outside your entire shift. Shifts begin at 6 AM, candidates must have reliable transportation and punctual attendance habits. To perform this job successfully an individual should be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, under the guidance of the Tennis Director and other team members. If candidate has prior tennis instruction background there is potential for lesson income. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES and other duties as may be assigned related to this position. Court Attendant will be in daily communication with Director of Tennis, performing normal daily tasks and situational maintenance needs as directed. · Hardworking, motivated, and reliable. · Preparation of all tennis court surfaces, including sweeping and lining of the courts, daily · Visually inspects tennis courts daily to ensure all grounds areas are cleaned and neat, daily. May perform light landscape work. · Prepares courtside amenities such as filling water containers, cups, emptying trash receptacles and cleaning chairs and tables · Performs all other general custodial tasks as necessary on the tennis courts and surrounding areas. · Perform various facility maintenance duties. · Assists in irrigation repairs and monitoring QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate for this role has the following characteristics: · Hardworking, motivated, and reliable · Follows instructions easily · Focuses on quality and attention to detail · Comfortable working varied hours, including early mornings. · A strong work ethic with excellent organizational and communication skills · An active and attentive listener · Ability to work outdoors during all seasons · Ability to communicate and immediately implement effective plans for court preparation following inclement weather and/or heavy rain EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in tennis court maintenance and repair of related equipment a plus, but not required. Prior facility maintenance experience a plus. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing and squatting. Frequent use of light machinery and hand-held tools. Frequent lifting and moving of objects. Must be able to carry loads of up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may work near mechanical parts. Work is outdoors all times of the year.
