Description

What are the pros and cons of using a shotgun for home defense? Find out if this system is a viable option for you. The shotgun is one of the oldest long gun designs available today. It is arguably the most effective gun commonly available, but it's also surrounded by myths and mistaken beliefs. In this seminar, we'll discuss why you should consider a shotgun for home defense and how to set up the gun to best fit your needs. Attendees will be briefed on basic shotgun operation and effectiveness, and we'll dispel a few myths along the way. Chris will bring several different shotguns for display and explain the prominent features and drawbacks of each. There's no shooting in this class - it's a classroom seminar only. But if you've ever wondered about shotguns for home defense, this is the perfect class to get you started. More information will be provided about opportunities for future live-fire training. What to BringThis class includes no shooting, and the instructor will bring all the shotguns for attendees to view. All you need to bring is note-taking material and lots of questions. There will be plenty of time for Q&A at the end of the seminar. Class InstructorThis class will be taught by Chris Norville of Axiom Defense Solutions. Chris is a former police officer. He worked for a large city department in the Middle Tennessee area for 24 years. Chris was a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and spent years teaching the use of pistol, shotgun and carbine to all levels of police officers, from new recruits to experienced officers. Chris has had a life long passion for shooting, but realized years ago that there is a huge difference between a gun owner and a trained shooter. After he became a firearms instructor for his department he saw that the Law Enforcement community as a whole was extremely lacking in their firearms training. Chris began searching for more information and personal knowledge. He soon realized that the more he learned, the more there was to learn. Chris soon transformed into a perpetual student. He has trained with some of the best instructors in the industry and continues to seek professional training to improve his personal and professional knowledge. He believes you can never have too much skill or knowledge when it comes to a defensive encounter.
