Performs a wide variety of irrigation and lighting related to residential and commercial properties, focusing on installation or repairs as instructed. All duties will be performed based on training and experience. The Irrigation Maintenance Technician is directly supervised by the Irrigation Operations Manager and is subject to work overtime.
Objectives:
- Make sure the customer is happy!
- Manage irrigation projects in a timely and organized manner. The goal is to finish the project at or below the estimated time.
- Keep track of job receipts
- Follow all job policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Activate irrigation systems in spring and identify problems/ needed repairs
- Inspect, adjust, and service irrigation systems during the growing season as needed.
- Winterize irrigation systems in the fall with the use of a tow-behind compressor.
- Troubleshoot systems and recommend solutions.
- Assist in the design and oversee the installation of new irrigation systems.
- Maintain care and upkeep of equipment and tools
- Keep the truck and lot clean and free of clutter
- Load and unload the truck
- Be available as the first point of contact for irrigation emergencies
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be insurable on Auto Insurance
- 1 year of Irrigation Experience Preferred but not required
- Must be a Team Player
- Must be able to work in many weather conditions that include: rain, heat, cold, snow, etc.
