APPLY TODAY!: SUMMARY The Driver is responsible for the delivery of merchandise to Customers within expected time parameters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Delivers merchandise according to pre-determined route • Unloads correct merchandise and checks order, noting any corrections • Completes all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of day • Communicates with Manager any system or documentation problems identified • Picks-up returned merchandise per return authorization • Complies with all DOT regulations • Performs safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards • Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing to customers and all levels of staff • Performs other duties as assigned External Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Must be at least 21 years of age Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience Class B or A CDL preferred or must be willing and able to complete the requirements necessary to obtain a Class B or A CDL within Six (6) month from hire date to maintain employment. Ability to comply with all DOT regulations as required, including maintaining a current DOT required Medical Certification at all times Ability to maintain a good driving record while employed Must be able to perform frequent lifting of 50 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. Required to use Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, etc.) Comprehend all Company safety requirements as well as jobsite safety Excellent customer service skills Courteous and professional appearance Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
