The Parent Sponsored Mandeville High Class of 2022 Junior Prom will be held on May 8, 2021 from 8-11pm at The Fleur De Lis Event Center. About this Event Juniors, it is almost Prom Time! Please know that this is strictly VOLUNTARY and this Prom is NOT in affiliation with Mandeville High School and is NOT in any way an official school sponsored event. This is a parent sponsored event. The Fleur De Lis Event Center is reserved, and we will work strictly in accordance with the statewide guidelines put forth by the governor's office for event centers and gatherings. As orders and restrictions change, we know that we may have to make some adjustments. Please understand this as we move forward. Masks are required, unless the mask mandate is suspended by the governor. At the venue (on Prom night) there will be a list of Juniors that purchased tickets (through "Eventbrite") and each student will have to show their Junior MHS school ID in order to enter the event. All tickets must be purchased ahead of time and once all tickets are sold , we will not be able to add more. Tickets sales are limited due to restrictions and will be on a first come first serve basis. Any non-MHS student or underclassman that attempts to purchase a ticket will NOT be refunded and will NOT be able to attend the event. The only way a Freshman, Sophomore or Senior Mandeville student may attend is if they are accompanied by a Junior student as a date. Students from other schools will again only be admitted if accompanied by a Mandeville Junior student as a date. EVERYONE WILL NEED A SCHOOL ID IN ORDER TO ATTEND, REGARDLESS OF THEIR SCHOOL. If your Junior does wish to bring a date, you should then purchase 2 tickets total. In other words, each Junior student is allowed to purchase ONLY 1 additional ticket for one guest as their date from any school or grade. There will be parent chaperones and security provided by FDL on site for the event. You may arrive between 8-11:00 pm. We will have a "check in" at the front door, but once you enter you may not leave until 11:00pm. THIS IS A LOCK IN EVENT. The same expectations at regular Prom will be applied. NO alcohol, drugs, vaping or weapons. No backpacks or bags of any kind will be allowed. Girls may carry a small purse or clutch. If you do not abide by these rules you WILL be asked to leave. We hope that you all come and enjoy yourself, because you all certainly deserve it! I know that together we can make this a Prom night to remember for the Class of 2022! GO SKIPPERS! * If MHS does decide to go ahead with the traditional school sponsored Prom, then this "Parent Sponsored Senior Prom" will be cancelled and you will be reimbursed the cost of your ticket.
