This is a "hands on" role. in which the employee will be expected to execute the duties below, as well as work well in a team environment. This entry level position requires the ability to learn the functionality of RS warehouse procedures and Operations. This position requires someone that is highly organized, driven and maintains self initiative. The Warehouse Attendant is to report to the Warehouse Supervisor. Scope of Duties: Perform the essential duties necessary for efficient warehouse operations Ongoing effort to learn and identify materials (size, type, style, color or product #) inventory, and its location Manage multiple tasks at one time with accuracy and efficiency Performs all procedures as outlined in warehouse SOPS (Opening and closing warehouse, Shipping, receiving, returns, picking material, inventory count) Accurately places materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner. Must be able to Pull material and fill work order forms, both Roofing and Electrical (Pick Tickets) in a timely manner Receive and Inspect goods for defects and damages Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties Notify supervisors of problems that you are not able to resolve yourself Process and package goods in a time efficient manner for shipments off Island Notify procurement agent of material stock for reorders Coordinate fleet needs and service required, work with supervisor for scheduling Follow company policies Assist with installation as needed Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications/Requirements: Must have transportation and a valid driver’s license with clean record Quick learner with good work ethics, able to understand and execute instructions Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Must be able to work independently or as part of a team Take the initiative to ask for directions, problem-solve and creatively troubleshoot issues Basic math skills and reasoning skills Forklift Certified Physical requirements: Able to move/lift 50lbs unassisted, able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment, position to spend 8 hours of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
