Job Description Qualifications All applicants must hold a New York State Master Barbering license. Job Description Communicates class curriculum to students so that learning occurs, skills are developed, and students are motivated to learn and achieve their educational objectives. Position Requirements High school Diploma or GED, Barber License. Necessary skills include, but are not limited to the following • Instruction of the curriculum for barbering and testing • Demonstrate all procedures, including safety and sanitation • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize • Maintain grade records, attendance books and lesson plans • Basic computer skills • Open and closing procedures The essential functions of the job are performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may involve working in a combination of Haircutting clinic and classroom environments.
