Exploration team members needed – Terracon, a nationwide engineering and construction QA/QC firm with offices in Buffalo, Rochester and Albany is looking for energetic staff to join our growing exploration division locally. There is a long list of technical duties you will perform listed below, but overall, you will work closely with a lead exploration members on the drill rig and learn this job function. The work we do is critical in soil and ground evaluation. The information we discover during exploration is critical in the construction process. The Exploration Team Member (ETM) I position is year-round outdoor work with drilling rigs assisting in collecting soil samples at different project sites throughout the northeast. It requires physical labor in all types of weather (with company provided PPE). Requires the ability to lift augers and tooling during exploration process, and work with hand tools safely. Training is provided for safe daily operations. ETMs follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects and participate in pre-task planning daily. You will assist in rig maintenance and drive medium duty trucks daily. Mechanical abilities and CDL a plus. Out of town work approximately 50% of the time (generous daily meal and hotel expense account provided). Successful candidates must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history and reliable transportation, the ability to pass a background check, drug screen test and either possess a current DOT medical card or be able to obtain one.
