A walking tour of Downtown Jacksonville's Cathedral District, including a look inside some
of its historic churches.
Join The Jaxson's Ennis Davis, Bill Delaney and Mike Field for a tour of Downtown Jacksonville's historic Cathedral District. The oldest remaining residential area in Jacksonville, it is home to some of Jacksonville's most historic churches and sites. It has a long history tracing back to Jacksonville's founding and was once a center for the city's early Italian community. Today, it's emerging as a walkable urban "live-work-play" neighborhood in the heart of Downtown.
The tour begins at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral and visits many of the other churches and historic sites in the neighborhood. Several churches are opening their doors to give our attendees a unique look at the incredible architecture of these historic sacred spaces.
Street parking is free on Saturdays. Children 12 and under are free. Please wear a facemask and practice social distancing.
