CONCORD, NH — A convicted bank robber who was wanted for supervised release violations was arrested on Wednesday in Manchester, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Louis John DiFazio, who was convicted of bank robbery in 2005 and featured as last week's New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week, was arrested by Manchester police while walking on Elm Street at around 1 a.m., according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal. "The US Marshals had provided the Manchester Police Department with the wanted poster and some initial information for DiFazio," White said. "Based on this poster and being featured as the 'Fugitive of the Week,' officers were looking for Mr. DiFazio throughout central Manchester." While downtown, Queen City police officers saw a man who resembled DiFazio, White said. Police were able to confirm it was DiFazio and he was arrested without any problems. "While conducting an inventory of DiFazio's belongings, a substance believed to be heroin/fentanyl was discovered and he was charged with possession of a controlled drug," according to White. DiFazio was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail where he was booked on two felony drug charges. He was arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court North and released on personal recognizance on the charges. DiFazio is expected to be transferred to the U.S. District Court on Wednesday to appear on the federal warrant.
