NEWARK, CA — For the second time in 2 days, Alameda County firefighters were dispatched to douse a fire in Newark. There were no injuries, but residents were displaced.
The fire had wide-ranging impacts: two occupants were displaced from the primary residence; a secondary dwelling unit on the property was impacted by the loss of electricity due to the fire with 4 additional residents were displaced.
For all of the disruptions in life, Alameda County Fire crews were able to knock down the fire quickly and contained it to a bedroom with no extension into the attic.
The fire was reported shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the 36000 block of Olive Street.
