This position is with a company that has been established for 30 years and which services over 40 countries around the world! This position is full time and is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity. The rate of pay is $14.00-$16.00 DOE. The schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 3pm to 12am. Candidates should be open to working overtime and holidays as needed. Duties & Responsibilities • Use a scale to weigh required amounts for analysis • Accurate detailed data recordings • Quality assurance checks • Work with various laboratory utensils and glassware • Clean laboratory area and equipment • Wash glassware • Retrieve samples from various locations • Media Preparation • Samples preparation using aseptic techniques • Pipetting • Serial dilutions • Autoclaving media and biohazard • Assist other departments as needed • Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications • Laboratory skills, aseptic techniques, a plus • Strong math skills a plus • Good verbal and written communication skills • Computer literacy • Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus • Ability to multitask • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated • Detail oriented/Focused • Excellent organizational skills • Quick to learn • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
