Join us on the Good Friday before Easter, we remember the crucifixion of Jesus! On the Good Friday before Easter, we remember the crucifixion of Jesus. In our praise of his resurrection, we must not overlook the three days he spent fighting for our souls in the depths. In Matthew 16, Jesus says to Peter, "on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." For three days, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was wrangling the keys to all things, taking away the power of sin after bearing it on the cross to save our souls. This is Good Friday, the day that Jesus died so that he may raise again.
