Description

Calling all boat captains! Volunteers are invited to join the Captains For a Clean Bay Cleanup on Tuesday, April 20th. Capt. Tom, at the helm of Charlton's Reef Charters of Tampa Bay, has 25 years of experience and has championed and chartered all types of weather conditions on the water. You can find him out 7 days a week covering 400 sq. miles of Tampa Bay's inshore waters! But that's not all, Keeping Tampa Bay clean is a top priority! This event is open to local fishing captains to volunteer to help remove trash and debris from the bay area waters. This cleanup is in partnership with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful as a part of their Trash Free Waters Program and serves as a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, lead to aesthetic community improvements, and provide a positive environmental impact. Litter on roadways, in parks, rivers, and neighborhoods negatively affects the environment, and isn’t something residents or visitors want to see in their community. Participants in the cleanup will assist with litter removal and beautification from Tampa Bay.
