Park Coastal Surveying LLC is a growing company looking to add an Entry Level Surveyor/Rodman to assist with the firm's topographic and boundary surveying projects. Experience is not necessary as we will train you and provide you with all the necessary skills to be successful. You must be able and willing to be highly responsible, capable and a contributing member of our team with the ability to utilize technology and think on your feet. You're a cog on a team hired to collect data about a particular piece of land. Precision tools like GPS are used to get the job done. Your job helps mark legal boundaries and inform construction efforts.
This is a field position that will sometimes require travel to locations throughout the state of Florida. The position can sometimes require long days in all types of Florida weather. This is a full-time position with paid travel expenses and a per diem allowance for meals. We offer medical, paid time off and paid holidays.
Responsibilities include transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing the job site for a survey such as clearing brush or trees away from the survey line. You will also stake out areas to prepare for elevation measurements. Part of the job involves holding the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points. While this job generally requires only a high school diploma, the task of surveying has tremendous significance when it comes to determining property lines.
