Blackbirds ATX are looking for a rock 'n roll bass player! We have been a band for a couple of years and play original material. Stylistically, we are a blend of The New York Dolls, Runaways, Dictators, Social Distortion, old Rolling Stones and Tom Petty. Looking for a pro player - mid to late 30's to 55. No geezers though! If you're a greasy haired, heavily-tattooed guy/gal, you're probably who we're looking for! • If you're a family person, and have a day job --- don't sweat it. We have families and jobs too. We're two dudes with a long history in punk, rock 'n roll and rockabilly bands. We rehearse once a week (covid responsibly) on Saturdays in Georgetown. No drunks, junkies or flakes. We're easy going and have a great time. There's no touring and no "making it big" aspirations. We've all done it. We'll do some recording though. We're playing super fun music, and want to have a great time playing out with it. Here's what we're looking for: • Simple, straight-ahead player that hopefully plays the bass below their waist - and with a pick? • Pro gear. *No "pointy" guitars. • Responsible, easy going, open to ideas, and creative.
