Description
ALBANY, CA — An organized group in Albany plans to hold a demonstration Friday in support of reopening elementary schools five days a week.
The rally, which commemorates the one-year anniversary of school closures, will be held at Solano and Cornell avenues from 3:12 to 4:12 p.m.
The group wants local schools to open five day a week for elementary school students.
"It's time to stop analyzing and start opening. We must stop sacrificing our children and get schools open 5 full days for elementary students and a robust schedule for middle and high school students now. All schools must fully reopen in the fall," the group said in a statement.
"…the science is overwhelming that closed schools harm students."
