Join us for a community clean up and invasive removal event in Historic Rittenhouse Town!
At the Philadelphia Mycology Club, we believe whole heartedly in the value of land stewardship and community outreach. So, we’re partnering with park leaders to help remediate an area of the Wissahickon that has been overgrown with invasive species. In clearing this space, we will be making room for native and ecologically important species to thrive once again at this historic site. As we work, we can discuss the importance of native plant and animal species as they pertain to mycology and how we can use fungi to help revitalize sites like this for future generations.
Tools and equipment will be provided for this event, but feel free to bring tools if you feel inclined to do so.
** Masks are required at all PMC events. Thank you! **
