ATLANTA — New details in the Fulton County investigation against former President Donald Trump revealed he made a demanding call to the Secretary of State's chief investigator. According to reports in The Wall Street Journal, Trump repeated claims that he won Georgia during the six-minute call with chief investigator Francis Watson, telling her "something bad happened." He urged her to look for fraud during the period when mail-in ballots were being audited and promised her, "When the right answers come out, you'll be praised." The story, reported at WSJ.com, said Watson assured Trump that investigators, including members of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, were "only interested in the truth and finding the information that is based on the facts." The Wall Street Journal is the first to uncover the recording of Trump's December call with Watson that was reported in January. This call preceded the now-infamous, hour-long call the former president made to Secretary of State Brad Raffesnperger demanding that he "find 11,780 votes" to overturn the presidential election results in Georgia. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has indicated that she will conduct a criminal investigation into the matter, asking all parties involved in any of the calls with Trump or his supporters to retain any and all related documentation.
