Excerpts from Mayor Bottoms' remarks:
"This is exciting for so many reasons. I had the great pleasure of meeting this wonderful woman when I became a Magistrate Judge."
"We had the pleasure of serving together for six and half years and there was never a day that I worked alongside Stephanie that she did not work harder than anyone in the building and had such a heart for doing the right thing on behalf of the people of Atlanta and Fulton County."
"It is such a great honor and personal fulfillment for me to be able to now appoint you as our newest Municipal Court Judge."
"I did not have to question what your work ethic would be, how you would preside because I watched you do it, and I learned so much from you for so many years."
"Thank you for being here today and for this opportunity to make you my first appointment to the bench."
