MONTGOMERY, AL — Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill will chair the 2021 2021 Republican Secretaries of State Executive Committee, after the organization met March 9 to elect its new committee members. Merrill is the first person appointed to serve as chair of the committee for consecutive terms. Members of the RSSC have been working alongside their state legislatures in recent weeks to promote voter-centric reforms that will strengthen the electoral process. In addition, the group has focused on promoting legislation that leaves states with the freedom and flexibility to administer their own elections, without federal overreach or interference.
