Celebrate Longmont's 150th anniversary with one of a series of Bike to Parks' history tours offered this Spring.
#3. Parks along the Greenway
As Longmont extended South of the river and the railroad, neighborhoods and parks were developed, followed by City amenities, including pools, the Museum, tennis courts and public art. By this time, greenways became part of the planning process and were integrated in the plans to connect the residents to the parks, schools and more. Out and back ride 100% on greenway/bike path. Parks visited: Quail Campus, Sandstone Ranch, Kanemoto, and Lefthand Creek. Any change due to inclement weather will be announced no less than one hour before start time; ride will take place the next day - same time and location.
• All rides are FREE for Longmont residents (cost for non-residents? If so, how do we do that? – up to you)
• For all rides: 12 participants, with waitlist up to 18. If you sign up for more than one and are a no-show, you will automatically be deleted from a future ride. May request a slot through my email, space permitting.
• Participants will be provided with (electronic?) waivers prior to? Paper waivers day of if ewaivers are not received.
• Bicycles must be in good working condition. If in doubt, please take bike to a bicycle shop before the ride.
• Safety checks will be done as a group. Please be prepared with spare tube (for your tire size) in case you have a flat (we can help, but will not provide a spare tube if one is needed).
Must wear a helmet and a mask. Bring water, sunscreen and snack if desired.
