Celebrate Longmont's 150th anniversary with one of a series of Bike to Parks' history tours offered this Spring. (#1) History by bike. Explore the five earliest parks of Longmont. What is original to the parks? Who were they named for? What changes have been made over the years? We will visit the three originals (Thompson, Roosevelt, and Collyer) and can you guess what the other two are? Clue is in the mileage. All biking will be on roads, some with bike lanes and some not (maybe say on low volume roads?). 5-6 miles (total). • All rides are FREE for Longmont residents • For all rides: 12 participants, with waitlist up to 18. If you sign up for more than one and are a no-show, you will automatically be deleted from a future ride. May request a slot through my email, place permitting. • Participants will be provided with waivers prior to? Paper waivers day of if ewaivers are not received. • Bicycles must be in good working condition. If in doubt, please take bike to a bicycle shop before the ride. Masks and helmets must be worn. • Safety checks will be done as a group. Please be prepared with spare tube (for your tire size) in case you have a flat (we can help, but will not provide a spare tube if one is needed). Please bring: bike in good riding condition, water, snack if desired. All participants must wear helmets and masks.
