JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ability to set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth—and align them. • Skill to spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float • Capacity to monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process • Capability to mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge • Experience to be able to signal truck driver to facilitate the positioning of the truck for pouring concrete, and efficiently move chute to direct concrete on forms • Direct the casting of the concrete, as well as supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread the material. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a high school diploma • Able to pass physical exam • Possess driver’s license and have one year’s driving experience • Must have a clean driving history • Communication, problem-solving, project management, reading, and mathematical skills WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Monday through Friday; plus possible overtime • Lift objects of various dimensions and weights • Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from truck, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather Call 208.589.1982 for in person interview
