General Labor/Sorter Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking candidates to fill immediate openings for a local recycling company. These positions will require you to stoop, bend and lift on a consistent basis while working outdoors in an open work yard environment. These opportunities are in a dirty, dusty environment, that is outdoors. Pay: $15.00 hr. + bonus potential Essential Functions of the Job: Performs a variety of tasks to maintain the daily operations of the landfill. Employee must be able to follow instructions, which are detailed and specific.Manual collection of construction waste materials in and around the perimeter of the work areaPlanting, watering, digging, rakingWinter preparationCleaning ponds and ditchesWork outdoors under possibly adverse weather conditionsAssists in the general maintenance and cleaning of the site Sits, stands, stoops, climbs, lifts, bends and walks intermittently on uneven terrainGeneral cleanup of grounds and buildingsPerforms other duties and special projects assigned by supervisor. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust have authorization to work in the United StatesMust pass a drug testHave some knowledge and/or the ability to learn about occupational hazards and safety precautionsMust have sufficient physical strength and ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing 35 pounds and to repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing more than 35 pounds with assistance.Ability to use a shovel, pitchfork, rake and other small tools as required.
