General Laborer/Yard Hand Our small but growing client is seeking a dependable, self-starter to be a part of their fire-retardant company. In this role, every day might bring about new tasks so you will need to be able to adapt to different tasks quickly. Your skills and talents will be used to successfully preform the following, as well as any additional responsibilities that are assigned: • General cleaning and maintenance around yard area • Assist in sorting and stacking incoming and outgoing materials and daily inventory • Responsible for keeping the yard location and/or shop clean, picked up, and clear of safety hazards • Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the facility's needs • Clean and check equipment for maximum functionality • Wash and wax equipment and vehicles • Pick up equipment from vendors • Collect and remove debris • Perform general housekeeping (e.g., sanitation, yard cleaning, scrubbing, changing lights, etc.) Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Must have a standard driver’s license • Punctual, honest with a flexible attitude • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures • 1+ years’ experience manual labor • Ability to use general, impact, power, and air tools as required • Ability to operate powered mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and loaders; Must be able to operate a forklift and pass the certification within 15 days of hire • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, such as wet, extreme cold, extreme heat • Requires strenuous activities including walking, bending, climbing, and being able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
