We are hiring a maintenance person to work around 15 hours a week and live at our apartment building. You would live in a recently renovated studio apartment and receive a discount on your rent of about $600/month. Your monthly rent, after the discount, would be about $735.00. Candidate should have good communication skills, be organized, and be willing to move to the apartment building. You will work directly with the firm’s principals. Apartment turnover duties (cleaning unit, patching holes in walls, dry walling, repainting, installing new fixtures, replacing locks, etc.) 2. Respond to tenant maintenance requests (plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, window repair, fixing appliances, etc.) 3. Provide vendor access 4. Landscaping and exterior maintenance 5. Light construction Must Haves: 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Reliable transportation 3. Cell phone and driver’s license 4. Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs 5. Must live and work on site 6. Be organized 7. Integrity and strong work ethic Property Management: If you want to, you can also work an additional 10 hours/week and help with property management. We would train you. This is what you would do if you want to work these extra hours: 1. Market units & show units 2. Process tenant applications 3. Move-Ins and Move-Outs, including checklists and keys 4. Enforce apartment rules 5. Collect rent 6. Deliver tenant notices 7. Respond to tenant questions and requests 8.
