Divine Martyr, a Christian symphonic/prog metal band, is seeking a new bassist to fill our ranks. Our influences include Symphony X, Delain, Nightwish, and the like. If you are interested then consider the following: 1. Be a Christian - We are seeking someone who is a Christian because we want your whole heart in this band. This band's primary goal is to get the message of the Messiah out to the masses and if you are not a Christian, then obviously the goal of the band will not be your priority. 2. Have your own transportation. 3. Have your own gear. 4. Be able to rehearse once a week on Sundays. In all honesty, we have rarely practiced every single Sunday for three months straight, for example, because of unforseen circumstances, but you should just consider your Sundays from 2-6PM to be rehearsal time. 5. Have moderate gig availability. As of right now, "moderate" means 20 gigs a year once COVID restrictions are removed. 6. Be creative based on what the song calls for - sometimes you might need to leave room for the guitarist. Sometimes tapping something out would be cool. It's up to you to dictate what the song needs and be creative. 7. Be able to use Facebook Messenger to communicate.
