Underground Utility Pothole Technician
Communication Construction and Engineering is an underground utilities construction company located in Denver, CO. We are currently looking for hard-working and self-motivated people to join our construction crews. Work would include excavating trenches and pits, potholing, placing conduits, placing handholes, constructing building entrances, pulling fiber optic cable, hydro-excavation, or similar work. Employee will run pothole rig with truck and vac unit. Employee will also use manual labor with hand tools, mini-excavators, trenchers, backhoes, directional drills. Employee reports to Construction Supervisor and Crew Leaders.
MUST haves:
- a valid Class A CDL drivers license
- no DUIs for at least 3 years
- understanding basic hand tools including hammers, wrenches, sockets, electric drills, shovels, pick axe, etc
- be willing to work in all conditions at any time of the year
- be willing to work with any of our other crew members using English
- be on time every day
Experience and skills of extra value (not required):
- experience with ditch witch vac trailers
- experience potholing utilities or hydro-excavation.
- Driving with a manual clutch
- Operating trenching and excavation heavy equipment
- Utility locating experience
- Work experience installing/maintaining fiber optic networks
- Bilingual Spanish and English
