Humboldt County Child Welfare Services Kills Parents

I had a friend - an acquaintance, really - named Russell - Russell S. I'll leave off his last name. The family is local. They still live here. Russell had himself a bunch of kids. He, and his wife. They were poor as dirt. Part of their poverty was Russell's skin affliction. He had some sort of a terrible rash that made him terrifying just to look at. I think Russell acquired his rash while living in the terrible conditions of apartment 1D, there, at 137 12th Street, in Fortuna - a horrible dump, with sinking foundations, rotting wood, mold-impregnated "dry" wall panels that were decades old, and multiple infestations of bedbugs. I saw how Russell related with his children and he was never anything but considerate to them. I never heard him raise his voice and I never saw any of his kids hit by him or anyone else. Nor did they misbehave - and so there was no need for correction. Anyway, at some point Child Welfare Services got involved - and they took all of Russell's children from him. I was told that they completely denied Russell any visitation rights. They tried to do the same thing to me, after I started telling people this story - so that part is likely to be true. Russell was staying with his brother at the time, out on School Street, in Fortuna. Maybe the apartment that you're living in, right now, amiga. His brother tells me that Russell lubricated the shower with soap, carefully, so that his feet could get no grip... and then, he hung himself, in the shower. Leaving those poor children with no father. Thanks, Child Welfare Services. Good work! Boost those numbers! Maybe there's some way you can call this "domestic violence", too. After all, it happened in the home; and it was definitely violent. Russell's brother was the one who discovered the corpse. It destroyed him. I don't think he could even bring himself to use the bathroom after that - a bathroom that he, himself, had installed. I think it destroyed his brother's relationship with his employer - the guy who owned the apartment complex Russell killed himself in... who Russell's brother worked for, as a carpenter. Surely the death of Russell affected others - even if they do not know their connection or understand what happened. Some of them - foster parents - profited, perhaps, from the situation. Others did not. For the better part of a year, Russell's brother was living in a tent, and struggling with undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder (AKA 'PTSD'). Humboldt County Mental Health Department was nowhere to be seen. Humboldt County Department of Human Services was nowhere to be seen. Family, and friends, carried the burden, alone. I know all this because Russell's niece was my youngest daughter's best friend - until, that is, Humboldt County Child Welfare Services tried to kidnap the rest of my children... shortly after which, we, as a family, left the county. Russell's gone... but he's not forgotten. And so here are my questions: How many of the suicides in Humboldt County can be traced back to an interaction with Humboldt County Child Welfare Services? I wonder. And... was it a coincidence, that Humboldt County Child Welfare Services spent the next two years trying to take away MY four daughters - which included several of Humboldt County's spelling bee champions - just after I began to protest, and write about Russell's death, on social media? I wonder. Was Judge Christopher Wilson the one who took Russell's children from him? Is this why Judge Wilson would not let us hear the questions the court put to OUR children, in the county's search for something, ANYTHING, to pin on my wife and I... but, instead, made us leave the courtroom? I wonder.
