Let's Get Ready to Camp with 4-H! *STOP & READ: *If applying for a scholarship, please complete the scholarship application first and do not complete the Eventbrite registration yet. Visit https://forms.gle/EWfTTLcrPf3HqknD8 to complete a scholarship application. *If paying in full, please proceed with completing Eventbrite registration.* Did you know that on average children in the U.S. now spend up to 7 hours a day on screens? But studies show that kids who spend time outdoors are smarter, happier, less anxious and more attentive than those that don’t. Help your kids unplug by attending camp with your Mecklenburg County 4-H program this summer.  Activities such as archery, horseback riding, swimming, arts & crafts, campfires, team building, canoeing and much, much more are available! Mecklenburg County 4-H will be attending camp at Betsy-Jeff Penn in Reidsville, NC July 4-July 9, 2021. Youth ages 8-12 years old are eligible to attend. Camp costs $450 per child(*Displayed ticket cost includes Eventbrite processing fees*) and includes insurance, all meals, transportation, a camp t-shirt, and camp store money. Checks and exact cash are also acceptable and can be brought to the Mecklenburg County Cooperative Extension Office *Eventbrite fees do not apply when paying by check or exact cash*. A limited number of scholarships may be available; please contact the 4-H staff below for details regarding applying for scholarships. Scholarship application deadline is March 29 by 5pm. Final camp payments are due by June 3.
