From City of West Palm Beach: March 1o, 2021 The City of West Palm Beach Office of Communications and Marketing in the Office of Mayor Keith A. James has upgraded the City of West Palm Beach website to include new tools and resources. When website visitors access wpb.org, they can browse information that is even more accessible and direct thanks to new design elements. These upgrades were created with residents and business owners in mind. Viewable from the user's desktop, the upgrades can offer the public an improved online experience as they learn more about their city and neighborhood. New features include: Resource Lookup Tool: Input your address to learn information about city services, flood zones and schools in your neighborhood! A new resource lookup tool allows residents and business owners to input their home address to locate information about their trash and recycling pickup days, flood zone, district and commissioner, and more! Improved access: Even more buttons are now featured on the home page, to directly connect website visitors with the city's most popular webpages and features. These buttons include bill payment, permit requests, flood information, WPB-TV, hurricane readiness, community events, public safety, library, meetings and agendas, trash schedules, and city job opportunities. More city news and city event information: What to know the latest information about news and upcoming events in our city? A listing of the latest news from the city has been expanded, and website visitors will find a broader listing of upcoming city-sponsored events and activities. Auto-scrolling slideshow: An auto-scrolling slideshow highlights the latest news and information from the city. "The events of the last year underscore the importance of good communication between government and its constituents," said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. "It is important for the public to know the latest news, events, programs and resources offered by their city. The website's new design features make that information even more accessible and direct. We invite the public to visit wpb.org to learn more about their city!" Launched in January 2020, the redesigned city website has proven to be a valuable source of information. The website logged 5 million-page views in 2020, a record for the city. WPB.org is managed by the city's Office of Communications & Marketing. The office works to ensure that the media, citizens and city employees have access to accurate, timely information from the City of West Palm Beach.
