Site Truck Driver / General Laborer on Construction Sites:
The duties and responsibilities of a laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a laborer on any given day may include the following:
• Operating off road trucks & compactors – primary responsibility
• Clearing, removing debris, and preparing construction sites
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Shoveling, set braces to support the sides of excavations, compacting with a plate tamper and backfilling holes
• Providing assistance with heavy equipment
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
• Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties, assembling & laying utility pipe
• Traffic Control (training will be provided)
• Operating hand and power tools of all types: tampers, shovels & hoes, chain saws, pipe saws, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
• Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites and able to pass mandatory drug testing.
