BEVERLY, MA — Stargazers may be able to spot a glimpse of Ben Affleck or George Clooney on Rantoul Street on Thursday. Residents and those driving through the city just won't be able to park there. Beverly officials said filming of the Clooney-directed "The Tender Bar" on Thursday will mean no parking on either side of the street from Federal to West Dane throughout the day. Police said occasional road closures may also be necessary. The fictitious bar "The Dickens" has taken up residence in the city for the filming. The neighboring property was also transformed into a Foto Hut for the period piece based on the J.R. Moehringer memoir. Crews have been filming all over Eastern Mass. in recent days with Clooney seen on Friday directing a scene at Bemis Park off Waltham Street in Watertown. The film also includes "American Horror Story" star Lily Rabe and "X-Men" actor Tye Sheridan. There is no indication whether Affleck, Clooney or any of the other stars will be in the city for the shoot. But perhaps the unseasonably nice weather will bring them out for the day.
