Press release from the Lindenhurst Union Free School District: March 9, 2021 The flutists of Lindenhurst High School recently had the unique opportunity to explore their instrument further with assistance from Flutist Gunnery Sgt. Ellen Dooley of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band during a virtual clinic. During the interactive clinic, Dooley shared with the students her experiences performing in the oldest continuously active professional music organization and performing at the inaugurations for the last four presidents of the United States. She then shared with the students some information on vibrato and tone and how to better control the notes they played. This press release was produced by the Lindenhurst Union Free School District.
