THE JOB Truesource, the parent company of That Nerd Show (and entertainment news outlet) is looking for Sales Reps who can sell advertising. We need Sales Reps to help sell our advertising space in our new magazine as well as our website and our broadcasts that are located on our YouTube channel. As a media Outlet, our profitability depends on Advertising and that is where you come in. We want Sales Reps who may or may not have experience selling advertising, but have the ability to sell anything. We are looking for “closers.” We are looking for Sales Rep that can get it done. You will be responsible for selling print, digital, online, and video advertising from National Brands to local businesses. Our commission rates are from 35% to 50% with bonuses. You will be a 1099 employee so you can work your own schedule, work from home, have your own routine, but most importantly you must be a “closer.” We will give you all the tools you need to succeed. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING We are creating advertising packages, from print advertising to digital advertising, from online advertising to video advertising. We want advertisers to have the option of doing print advertising in our magazine and doing digital advertising in our eBooks. We also want to give them the option of advertising on our website and being able to put their commercials in our video broadcasts. We are mostly looking for National brands for a print magazine, but each of our digital / eBook issues of the magazine are created to where they can have local advertising. We need Sales Reps that can sell both and can talk to any business whether it be a local business or a national brand and get them to buy advertising. Most importantly we are looking for go getters, Sales Reps who will put in the time to talk to multiple businesses every day, does not have a problem making cold calls, and can find us companies that will advertise with us on a monthly or yearly basis. Sales Reps will also help sell subscriptions. PAY / SALARY The job is 100% commission, but we offer a 35% base Commission on print advertising and a 45% base Commission on digital / online / video advertising. You will earn 5% bonus if you can get companies to do a monthly to a yearly contract with us. While this may be a 100% commission sales job, we pay daily so when you close a deal and we collect payment, the next day your commission will be deposited into your account. You will not have to wait every two weeks to get paid. QUALIFICATIONS 1- We are looking for people with some sales experience. 2- Must be able to talk the businesses including making cold calls. 3- Must be professional at all times, including dressing professional if you meet with a client. 4- Must have the ability to do virtual meetings through Zoom whether it's talking to the boss or meeting with potential clients. Essentially you must have at least a smartphone or tablet or computer with internet access. 5- Must not have ever been convicted of a crime relating to fraud, violence, or of a sexual nature. 6- Must not have ever been fired from a job for theft or fraud. 7- Must be able to work at least a few days a week and meet certain goals. 8- Must be able to close a deal. If you cannot close a deal, then you will not succeed at this job. WHAT YOU WILL GET We will provide you with business cards, an email address, and sample materials that show where advertising will be displayed. We will not provide a drawer base salary until you have proven yourself as a sales rep. Those things can be discussed once you have proven that you are able to close deals and bring in money. We are willing to give anybody a chance if they feel like they can do this job, but the most important thing that we are looking for are closers. Training will be provided.
