Looking for vet recommendation

I am looking for recommendations for a vet who is reasonable and compassionate. I would like one outside of a city, more of a “country vet” in Ottawa County, western Kent County, northern Allegan County. I have a very old, dear pet who has multiple terminal health issues and is likely nearing euthanasia. Most vets (even those who have treated her all her life) require an expensive exam before euthanasia. It hurts to see my pet suffer and not know how to help her. Please don’t think we don’t care - for the last couple years we have spent several dollars/day on special food and medication but it is no longer helping. Does anyone know a vet they love who would lovingly care for our pets without forcing us to mortgage the house?
