ABOUT THE UNIT The Yara North America Stockton Dry Terminal is located in Stockton California. It provides direct deep water access to imported fertilizer for local markets.   The 80,000 MT warehouse and terminal is located on the San Joaquin River approximately 90 miles upriver from the San Francisco bay. The Terminal Operator performs all receiving and shipping duties involving prepackaged products which includes accurately weighing, recording, and palletizes both large and small  bags of product for storage and shipment.  The position holder will also assist in maintaining the warehouse for the safe and efficient storage of prepackaged product. RESPONSIBILITIES - Unload fertilizer tote bags and stacks them; load fertilizer tote bags onto trucks - Weigh and record the volume of product in tote bags.  Keep appropriate records - Coordinate with truck drivers for safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks - Supplies various manual and computer-generated receipt and shipment reports, as directed by Terminal Manager - Train colleagues in warehouse and forklift operations; cross-train on pay-loader operation - Read, understand and implement HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job - Develop a general understanding of the Yara SAP system and ALS system - Maintain the terminal grounds, forklifts, and all other warehouse equipment in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times. - Perform any other duties assigned by the Terminal Manager, including cross-training with other members of the terminal staff and assistance with vessel discharges PROFILE - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years of terminal experience - Forklift Certification - First aid, CPR, Blood borne Pathogen and AED certified  is a plus  - Eligible for Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) - Safety and process oriented - Willing to work in and contribute to a diverse group - Good maintenance skills ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident - The position holder must to be able to: * Lift and carry (up to 50 lbs. bags) * Use shovel to pick-up heavy cargo * Pick-up heavy material (25-50 lbs.) * Work in confined spaces * Work at heights (up to 150 feet) * Work on feet for several hours, including bending and kneeling * Wear respiratory protection, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR Parts 1910 & 1926 * Wear all types of personal protective equipment, including fall protection * Work overtime when there is a need/requirement to deliver on terminal obligations KNOWLEDGE GROWS Yara North America encourages and supports career growth and development, ensuring that you will come for a job but stay for a career.
