OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Historical Museum will present a free virtual program celebrating the life of New Jersey native Alice Paul on March 23 at 7 p.m. Paul led the final fight for women's suffrage and championed equal rights for women through most of the 20th century. The presentation will feature original photographs from Paul's personal collection. It also explores her life, her roots in the New Jersey Quaker community, her role in the fight for suffrage and her work for the Equal Rights Amendment. Registration is available online or by calling the museum at 609-399-1801. The program will be presented in partnership with the Alice Paul Institute, a nonprofit organization headquartered at Paulsdale, the birthplace and childhood home of Alice Paul, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
