WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports: A Brussels griffon dog was bitten by a poodle belonging to a neighbor Monday in the 4300 block of Central Avenue. The first dog was taken to the vet because of an injury. The owner of the poodle was issued a ticket for the biting dog. The front windows of a house were damaged on the night of Feb. 19 in the 3900 block of Lawn Avenue. Jose I. Salazar, 38, of Aurora, was arrested March 1 on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was stopped about 8 p.m. at Ogden and Hampton avenues.Wendell B. Carter, 29, of Matteson, was arrested Monday on charges of driving with a revoked license and improper display of registration plates. He was stopped about 12:30 p.m. at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
